January 5, 2018 (Augusta, Ga.)– First Community Bank is pleased to announce James Heffner has joined the bank as a commercial banker and will be leading the bank’s new office in downtown Augusta. James brings years of industry knowledge and more than two decades of experience cultivating meaningful relationships with businesses and individuals alike.

“We are excited to add someone with James’ talent and expertise to our growing team. With his knowledge, experience and commitment to excellence, James will be a great resource for local businesses and professionals,” said Jordan Pierce, First Community’s Augusta market president.

After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University, James began his career with the investment portfolio department of Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City and went on to create a direct sales company. Since moving to Augusta in 2007, James has returned to the banking industry and taken an active role in the success and enrichment of Augusta and its residents.

James is currently serving as co-chair for Leadership Augusta, board treasurer for the Greater Augusta Arts Council, vice chair for Augusta Technical College and fund development chair for Westobou Festival. James is also an active board member of the Family YMCA of Downtown Augusta, Augusta Regional Collaboration Corporation, Walton Options for Independent Living and Faith Outreach Church.
