First Community Bank’s Jan Hadder appointed to Greater Columbia Community Relations Council Board of Directors
August 1, 2016 (Lexington, S.C.) – First Community Bank senior vice president and director of mortgage banking Jan Hadder has been appointed to the Greater Columbia Community Relations Council (CRC) board of directors. The Columbia Chamber of Commerce made the appointment.
Established in 1964, CRC is an organization known for advocating on behalf of all Midlands residents. CRC helps promote harmony, mutual respect and justice through civil dialogue, educational initiatives, religious programs and innovative resources. The CRC board of directors consists of 30 members. Ten members each are appointed by City Council, Richland County and the Chamber of Commerce.
Hadder joined the team at First Community Bank in 2014. She began her career in mortgage banking in 1993 with First Mortgage Corporation in Greenville, North Carolina. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Hadder serves on the board of directors for the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Central South Carolina and on the event committee for the Carolina Marathon Association’s Heart and Sole Women’s Five Miler. She is also a member of the BIA Sales & Marketing Council (SMC), the Central Carolina Association of Realtors, the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas and University of North Carolina’s General Alumni Association.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Hadder is an active member of the community. She has volunteered her time to the PTO board for Harbison West Elementary School, Crossroads Middle School and Irmo Middle School, the School Improvement Council at Harbison West Elementary School, Girls on the Run, the Quail Valley Swim and Racquet Club board of directors, Quail Valley Civic Association board of directors, and the CLIMB Mentoring Program at Columbia College.
