First Community Bank to Open New Office in Blythewood

October 17, 2014 (Lexington, S.C.) – First Community Bank is pleased to announce the recent ground breaking for a banking office in the Town of Blythewood, South Carolina. The new location, at 201 Main Street, is expected to open next spring giving the Lexington-based community bank its 15th location.

The 3,000 square-foot, one-story building was designed by local architecture firm Jenkins Hancock & Sides with Cohn Construction serving as the general contractor. The banking office is modeled on First Community Bank’s classic, brick southern architecture and includes a drive-thru and ATM to efficiently serve customers.

 “As the second fastest growing municipality in South Carolina, we see tremendous opportunities in Blythewood,” said First Community Bank President and CEO Mike Crapps. “This location will be a wonderful addition to the First Community family and we look forward to bringing our unique style of banking to the businesses and residents that call Blythewood home.”

Bank customers will enjoy the same commitment to service they have come to know at other Midlands locations and have expanded access to commercial and retail banking, mortgage banking and financial planning and investment advisory services.

The Blythewood announcement continues a period of market growth for First Community including the acquisition of Savannah River Banking Company in Aiken, South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia earlier this year and the opening of its first downtown Columbia location in June.
