Senior Deposit Sales Support Specialist

Location: Lexington, SC

Position Summary

This position is directly responsible for overall operational support for Deposit Sales Support functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and bank policies.  The ideal candidate is also expected to assist/advise on the successful attainment of departmental objectives while maintaining high quality work standards and identifying and mitigating risks associated with these functions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Perform research, review and assessment activities as needed to support DSS daily operations.
  • Provide direct and back-up functional support for all DSS functions.
  • Complete operational reporting and analysis for Deposit Sales Support processes and other systems as needed for reporting to management.
  • Facilitate procedural documentation updates and standardization.
  • Provide support and assistance with various product support functions, including DDA, SAV, and Retirement, Sweep, etc., product set-up and review.
  • Generate reports (Excel, H360, etc.) to provide support to various departments within the department/organization.
  • Represent DSS in various meetings, project initiatives and Compliance/Audit reviews.
  • Work with various departments in the organization to assist customers and provide support for various services within the organization/department.
  • Prepare audit documentation as required.
  • Support Branch Administration and Business Services with IntraFi account processing.
  • Assist and advise with Escheat/Abandoned Property Processing annually.
  • Assist with researching and reconciling General Ledger accounts daily, including Official Checks, Interest Checks, and Expense Checks.
  • Provide back-up assistance for Cash Services Operations, including ordering branch/ATM/commercial currency and foreign currency.
  • Meet service level targets with regard to timely responses to customer/colleague requests.
  • Aid and assist with Safe Deposit Box management, including reporting, past-due management, and coordination with Branch resources.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Equivalent and 5 years bank experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to deposit accounts
  • Active knowledge and practice of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience with core deposit product account functionality is preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to compute basic to moderately complex math calculations.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and office products (e.g., Word, Excel).  Familiarity with report-writing or spreadsheet software preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
