Operations Manager - FCFC

Location: Columbia, SC

Responsible for all management of existing and new client accounts for FCFC.  Primary liaison to LPL Financial for all existing and new client case management; including coordinating paperwork required to properly maintain brokerage accounts and outside investment accounts.  Management includes all aspects of communication with the clients on asset management, trading and performance reporting.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Open new client accounts and process cash received for new accounts.
  • Maintain all required paperwork on existing client accounts.
  • Oversee trading and transfers and other trading functions within client accounts.
  • Oversee distributions from client accounts and acquisition of assets from transferring institutions.
  • Oversee reporting to clients on account performance.
  • Provide very basic advice and reasonably well known information about financial planning, investing and trading concepts to clients.
  • Meet with clients for required annual review meetings, as necessary, to assist FAs.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to compute basic to moderately complex math calculations.
  • Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and office products (e.g., Word, Excel).Familiarity with report–writing or spreadsheet software preferred.
  • Familiarity with LPL’s operating platform, ClientWorks, and Redtail CRM preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Fully licensed as a registered representative and/or registered investment advisor to include Series 7 and 66 preferred.
  • Clean U-5 record
